Paylode® Honored with Two Awards for Committment to Greening the Supply Chain
NEW CONCORD, OH (January 25, 2011) - Paylode® Cargo Protection Systems was recently honored with two industry awards for helping its customers become good environmental stewards. Paylode, a manufacturer of 100-percent recycled, reusable dunnage for truck, rail and intermodal cargo, was a winner of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Green Supply Chain Award and was selected as a finalist in the Supply Chain and Logistics Green Supply Chain Award.
The Supply Chain and Logistics Green Supply Chain Award rewards companies who have demonstrated an above-and-beyond performance in environmental supply chain planning and execution. The factors considered when selecting nominees for this award were minimizing waste from the supply chain process and overall adoption of green practices across the supply chain.
Paylode was also selected as winner for the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Green Supply Chain Award that recognizes companies who include green or sustainability efforts in their supply chain strategy. They acknowledge those that are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations in areas such as sourcing and procurement, fulfillment and logistics, product lifecycle management, and other areas of the supply chain. Supply & Demand Chain Executive received 125 entries for the 2011 Green Supply Chain Award and chose 38 winners.
"We're proud of the work we've been doing to help our customers reduce waste and meet sustainability goals. These award wins validate our commitment to sustainability and we're thrilled to be recognized alongside companies who are making important strides in environmental stewardship globally," said Paul Fitzgerald, Director Paylode Cargo Systems.
